ABOUT US

How it all started

“I believe it was around 1996 or 1997, I’m not entirely sure as it’s been over 25 years now, that a group of 3 industrial electronics students decided to create this Student Branch, and I assisted them. Later, we received a certificate that was displayed in the DEI meeting room for several years. During that time, those students and others who joined us helped organize various events, both in robotics and other fields. After that, it was a matter of watching the core grow.”- Prof. António Ribeiro, Counselor do SB
